ArcSolve Viewer Help

Opening documents

The app opens with a document browser. Choose a document in iCloud Drive, On My iPhone, or a connected storage app. You can also choose ArcSolve Viewer from Share or "Open in…" in another app, such as Files, Mail, or a messenger.

"새로운 문서" (New Document) on the launch screen creates an empty Markdown document. The "더 보기…" (More) menu has "도움말" (Help), "개인정보 처리방침" (Privacy Policy), and "설정 열기" (Open Settings).

View in the iOS preview (no editing)

The app does not open formats that iOS cannot render, such as EPUB, OpenDocument (odt, ods, odp), eml, and zip. WebM, MKV, and Ogg video show a message that they cannot be played.

Editing and saving

Edits to text, Markdown, PDF, and images are saved to the original file automatically, and you can undo them. PDFs with a digital signature and images that cannot be saved in their original format are saved only as a copy. To keep the original, first make a copy with "복제" (Duplicate) in the file actions menu (document icon) in the top bar.

Every document has Duplicate, Move, Export, and Print ("복제", "이동", "내보내기", "프린트") in the file actions menu, and Share and Info ("공유", "정보") in the toolbar. Rename is in the document title menu.

Add a signature to a PDF or image with "서명 추가" (Add Signature). The app stores up to 20 signatures on the device. Delete them with "서명 추가 또는 제거" (Add or Remove Signature) in the signature list.

Hangul documents (HWP, HWPX)

HWP and HWPX are view-only. You cannot edit them or fill in forms.

The app draws Hangul document pages itself, based on the published HWP file format. So in some documents, table page breaks or fonts may look different from the program that made them.

For safety, the app does not open Hangul documents larger than 64 MB. Previews in the Files app show only the first few pages.

This product was developed with reference to Hancom's published HWP document file (.hwp) specification.

Data and privacy

The app has no accounts, advertising, or usage analytics. The app does not send documents or app information to us.

Signatures, bookmarks, last reading positions, and view settings are stored on the device. Depending on your OS settings, device backups may include them.

Deleting the app

Deleting the app removes its settings, signatures, bookmarks, and the files in the "ArcSolve Viewer" folder under On My iPhone in the Files app from the device.

Files elsewhere, such as iCloud Drive, stay. Move any files you need to another location before you delete the app.
